Hi,
I'm new here, so expect a soft response from the experts if I soun
silly or too naive!
Ok, I can't understand how to sort names in a column. Different dialogu
boxes appear on clicking Sort in the Data group on the Layout tab unde
Table Tools but it's all Greek to me. I tried hard to sort name
alphabetically but fail to find the desired result. Can anybody pleas
guide me step by step how to sort names alphabetically in a column o
the table in Word 2007. Thanks
Regards,
Rashi

Usually the default choices in the Sort dialog box will work fine. If the
names you want to sort are not in your first column, you may have to choose
another column for the first sort key. If you have last names in one column
and first names in another, you may want to designate the latter as a
secondary sort key. But it's usually pretty straightforward, as an
alphabetic sort is the default unless Word detects that a column contains
numbers or dates.

What is happening that is not what you expect?
