gap between header and table in body of document

Hi Kevin,
If you format the paragraph mark after the table so that there is no space
after it and so that the line spacing in the paragraph is set to exactly 1pt
(the minimum that Word will allow, then adjust the size of the header pane
to the minimum (by dragging on the vertical ruler), you will probably
achieve something that is near enough to what you are after. In page layout
view, the space between the table in the header and the table in the body of
the document is still noticeable, but, on a 300dpi printer, rather than a
space between the two, there is a hardly noticeable thickening of the border
between the two.
Hope this helps.

I have a header that is a table. The body of the document is also a
table. I want the header table to be immediately above the table in the
body of the document (as if they were one table). I've tried adjusting
the margin using the ruler on the left of the document but no success.
There's always a gap between the header table and the table starting the
body of my document. Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks.
Please can you write steps how reduce space between header table and body table.

as there is always a paragraph mark behind a table you can format that empty
paragraph mark as "hidden". So it will no longer appear in print preview,
and no space will be printed.
Alternative, you can set a negative measure for the top margin. Example:

The header starts at 1,5 cm (Page Setup | Layout | From edge).
The hight of header table is exactly 0,5 cm (Table Tools | Layout |
Properties | Row).
The top margin has to be -2,0 cm (Page Setup | Margins | Top).
