I have a Word Document that I am using for an invoice. The document ha
several different tables. I am running into an issue setting this up.
Randomly when I am attempting to move the column width for an individua
cell in the middle of the document some of the cells (above or below
will also move. Is there any way to set all cells in the document t
move independently of the other cells

Hi,

which version of Word do you use?

*how* do you try to change the width of a cell?
Using "Table | Properties | Cell" does not work. Then width of the whole
column will be adjusted.

Select the whole cell (not just content of the cell), and drag the right or
left gridline of the cell.
Or use the ruler (different behaviour when pressing Shift key while
dragging).

If you select a cell, you can then drag the right (or left) border for that
cell. Of course, the result will be that the adjacent cells will become
smaller...

it differs when pressing SHIFT while dragging, and that differs between
various Word versions.
And there is a different behaviour when dragging cell border within the
table or dragging the mark within the ruler.

Good point. I was referring to *not* holding the Shift key and dragging the
cell border.
