I have created a two-column two-row table in Word 2007.

I have an exact height of 4 cm and a fixed width.

I have selected Do not allow to break across page and the box for resize is
unchecked.

In spite of this, when I insert a picture, the cell is enlarged and the
picture overlaps the rest of the table.

Can you help, please?

Double-check that you selected "Exactly" for "Row height is" on the Row tab of
the Table Properties dialog box (and that you set the row height for the
correct row). Also, make sure that you cleared "Automatically resize to fit
contents" in the Table Options dialog box.

I checked all that - everything is as you recommend!
The inserted picture covers way over the table height and if I click on it,
the outline covers the width of two cells.

I have also tried with a four-column, two-row table and a one-column,
one-row table but the result is the same.

I've also tried it on two computers running Word 2007 - same result!

Any other ideas, please?
